Chris Pumphrey began using the first DOS version of the ACT! database program when it was introduced in in the 1980's. As a pioneer user of ACT!, he remains on the forefront of the latest developments in the software and add-on products.

Following a career in sales management and business development, he began consulting in 1996. Today he is President of Contactivity  and serves as a premier business coach and "go-to-guy" for ACT!-based businesses.

Chris has trained ACT! users in organizations ranging from the California 4-H Foundation to the United Bank of Switzerland and his services have been praised by businesses ranging from startups to Global 50 corporations.

Over the past decade, Chris has published many articles for ACT! users. He has served as the Consulting Editor for the ACT! Extra Newsletter and has contributed a monthly column "The Small Business Incubator" in Connection Magazine.

Chris is the founder of the ACT! Sacramento User Group in Sacramento, and is a preferred provider with the Sacramento Small Business Resource Center.
